When and Why?
The main worksheet of the RACI component shows the RACI matrix. This matrix defines relations between project tasks and the team members. A cell in the RACI matrix defines, if and how a team member is involved with a special task. There are six different types of interactions between a team member and a task:
- R Responsible: this defines ownership of a task
- A Accountable: the team member is responsible for signing off the work
- S Supportive: the team member can help with the implementation of the task
- I Informed: the team member has to be informed about all status changes of the task
- C Consulted: the team member may provide important knowledge for this task
- RA Responsible+Accountable: the team member is both the owner of the task and responsible for signing off the work
