Design FMEA

DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) helps to identify potential risks in a system or component. It is created for a new design and updated whenever new faults are discovered, or design changes have been made. It should be reviewed at the start of any problem-solving activity.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in a system or component
DFMEA returns a list of rated risks with action priorities (AP) high, medium or low. For high priorities mitigation actions must be defined and implemented.

This area contains the project data. Fill out the yellow fields.String 281332
This section shows the 3 abstraction levels of the system elements. Use the drop-down control in the center to select the focussed system element.String 281336
This section shows the 3 abstraction levels of the product functions. Use the drop-down control in the center to select the focussed function. Each function is connected to the system element in section 2.VDA-DFMEA
This part shows the 3 levels of failures: the center column contains the possible failure modes connected to the focussed function. Left of the failure mode is the list of possible failure effects. You can enter the severity for each effect here. The 3rd column contains all possible causes for the failure mode.FMEA Risk (Reduced)
Enter initial occurence and detection values as well as tasks to improve those values.
